Our leadership

Corporate governance

At FM, our clients have a voice in how we perform. At the heart of our corporate governance program are our boards of directors. This includes the board of directors of our U.S. licensed companies—Factory Mutual Insurance Company (FMIC), Affiliated FM Insurance Company (FM Affiliated) and Appalachian Insurance Company (APP)—and our international subsidiary boards, like FM Insurance Company Limited (FMI), FM Insurance Europe S.A. (FMIE) and FM Global de Mexico S.A. de C.V. (FMGM).

Board of Directors

The board of directors of our FM insurance entities is made up of executive leaders from client organizations worldwide. It establishes policies for corporate management and oversight, making decisions on major issues and helping to ensure the company’s prosperity as well as protecting the interests of all policyholders. As a company, we execute plans the board approves and are grateful for the oversight and guidance our directors provide.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is comprised of the most senior levels of enterprise leadership and establishes the company vision and provides organizational oversight for FM. The committee delegates authority to the Corporate Planning Committee as appropriate. Executive Committee members are also members of the Corporate Planning Committee.
