Lyndon D. Broad

Lyndon D. Broad is executive vice president, staff insurance operations, at FM, one of the world's largest commercial property insurers. In this role, Broad has oversight of underwriting and reinsurance, engineering and research, FM Approvals, claims, client service and marketing, as well as innovation, analytics, and AI.

For more than 29 years, Broad has worked with FM clients in many industries and in a wide variety of roles. He joined the company in 1995 as a resident engineer in Brisbane, Australia, and has since worked in claims and operations management roles in Australia, Asia, the United Kingdom and the United States. Prior to his current appointment, Broad held several managerial positions, including vice president and operations manager for Australia and then Boston operations, and most recently, senior vice president, chief underwriting officer, where he managed the company’s overall underwriting and reinsurance functions.

Broad holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia.
